Kenya Sunbeam Ministries are a Christian faith ministry reaching vulnerable communities in Teso Western Kenya

Who are we?

Kenya Sunbeam Ministries is a Northern Ireland based charity working in the Teso District of Western Kenya to be a beacon of light in a dark rural part of Africa.

Through Ellen Allison, God has moved powerfully in that place and is bringing the hope of His Salvation into the lives of adults and children in the community.

Ellen runs a children’s home where 52 abandoned or orphaned children now reside. Not only is she a mother to them, but she has set up a school called Rainbow Academy with over 100 children attending from both Sunbeam Children’s Home and the local community.

Ellen is the local Pastor and has established a well attended church and prayer centre.

Ellen Allison

Ellen Allison is the full-time missionary working in Kenya with Kenya Sunbeam Ministries.

She has been working in Kenya from 1998. Ellen left full-time employment in Belfast in 1996, and has been dedicating her life and work to KSM ever since. She does not take a salary from KSM, so she depends heavily on God for her provision. Her life before this was very different

She was a Nurse working in many hospitals and in the community in the Belfast area. Ellen also spent 6 months working abroad in St Helena as a Nurse.
